ThriveCart pricing is not what most guides say. For years ThriveCart was famous for one thing: a single lifetime payment. In July 2026 it launched monthly and yearly plans. Today, Standard costs $37 a month billed yearly, or $47 month to month.
If a review quotes “$495 lifetime”, treat it as the old model. Here is what ThriveCart costs now, what each plan includes, and how it compares with SamCart and Systeme.io. Checked on 4 November 2026.

What happened to the lifetime deal?
ThriveCart’s homepage still says a lifetime option is available, but it shows no public price. We don’t print the old $495 figure, because we can’t confirm it is still on offer. If lifetime matters to you, ask ThriveCart directly before you buy.
People who already bought lifetime access were not affected by the change. We cover the switch in detail in ThriveCart moves to monthly pricing.
What Standard includes
- Unlimited products, checkouts and funnels
- One order bump plus one-click upsells and downsells
- A/B testing on checkouts
- Subscriptions and payment plans, including buy-now-pay-later through Afterpay, Klarna, Affirm and ThrivePay Installments
- Stripe and PayPal as processors
Pro+ adds multiple order bumps, subscription upgrades and downgrades, failed-payment recovery (dunning), affiliate payouts, custom branding and tax-inclusive pricing.
Standard or Pro+?
Pro+ costs $30 a month more on yearly billing. Two features usually decide it:
- Dunning. If you sell subscriptions or payment plans, failed cards cost you money every month. Recovering even two or three failed $100 payments pays for the upgrade.
- Affiliates. If you want partners to promote your product, you need Pro+.
A coach selling a $1,200 program on a six-month payment plan came to me worried about churn. Two or three clients a quarter had cards fail mid-plan, and she chased each one by hand.
On a checkout with automated dunning, those failures get retried and emailed for you. For her, the dearer plan was the cheaper choice.
Monthly vs yearly billing
- Standard: $564 a year on monthly billing vs $444 yearly. You save $120.
- Pro+: $1,044 vs $804. You save $240.
ThriveCart’s 30-day trial is long for a checkout tool. Use the full month. Build your checkout, add your bump and upsell, run a test sale, and then decide on yearly billing.
What ThriveCart really costs: three real setups
1. A creator selling three digital products
Standard, billed yearly: $444 a year. Unlimited products and funnels, one order bump per checkout and one-click upsells. Stripe or PayPal processing comes on top, as on any checkout.
2. A coach selling a program on payment plans
Pro+, billed yearly: $804 a year. The extra $360 a year pays for dunning, which retries failed cards and emails the buyer for you. On a $1,200 program split into six $200 payments, saving two failed payments a year covers it.
3. A launch with affiliate partners
Pro+ again, because affiliate payouts are not on Standard. If partners will send you even a few sales during a launch, the $30 a month difference is small next to their commissions.
The real cost at $3,000 a month in sales
A checkout’s plan price is only part of what you pay. Here is a simple comparison at $3,000 a month, 60 sales of $50, billed yearly:
| Checkout | Plan | Platform fee | Order bump on this plan? |
|---|---|---|---|
| ThriveCart Standard | $37 | $0 | Yes |
| SamCart Core | ≈ $59 | $0 | No |
| SamCart Pro | ≈ $149 | $0 | Yes |
Card processing of about 2.9% + 30¢ per sale (about $105 here) applies to all three and is left out. Prices verified 4 Nov 2026.
For the same job, a checkout with an order bump, ThriveCart costs about $112 a month less than SamCart Pro. That is $1,344 a year.
Why buy-now-pay-later matters on bigger products
Standard supports Afterpay, Klarna, Affirm and ThrivePay Installments with no plan upgrade. For a $500 or $1,000 program, letting buyers split the cost can be the difference between a sale and a maybe. You still get paid, and the provider’s fees apply. Test it on your highest-priced product first.
ThriveCart vs SamCart vs Systeme.io
| Billed yearly | Entry plan | Fee on sales | Bumps and upsells on entry plan | Free trial |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ThriveCart | $37/mo | 0% | Yes (1 bump) | 30 days |
| SamCart | ≈ $59/mo | 0% | No (Pro only) | 7 days |
| Systeme.io | $0 to $14/mo | 0% | Check plan | Free plan |
Verified 4 Nov 2026. SamCart Core is $710 a year. Card processing applies on all three.
On price and features at the entry level, ThriveCart Standard beats SamCart Core. Systeme.io is cheaper still and adds email, but its checkout is less specialised.
Courses and community are included too
This is easy to miss. Every ThriveCart plan comes with a ThriveCart Academy plan. On Standard, that is Academy Starter: unlimited courses and students, up to 2,000 community members across up to 10 communities, quizzes and certificates, and 100 GB of video storage. Pro+ comes with Academy Growth, which raises the community limit to 10,000 members.
So for many course sellers, ThriveCart Standard can replace a separate course platform. You would still add an email tool such as Kit or MailerLite.
How to pay less for ThriveCart
- Start on Standard. Move to Pro+ only for dunning, affiliates, multiple bumps or custom branding.
- Use the 30-day trial fully. Build everything before your first payment.
- Pay yearly once your checkout converts. It saves $120 a year on Standard.
- Ask about lifetime before you buy. If ThriveCart still offers it and you plan to use the tool for years, get a written price first.
- Offer buy-now-pay-later on bigger products. It is included on Standard and can lift sales without any extra plan cost.
Is ThriveCart worth it?
ThriveCart is the best-value dedicated checkout we track. Standard at $37 a month billed yearly includes what many sellers want most: unlimited products, an order bump, one-click upsells, A/B testing and buy-now-pay-later options. SamCart charges about $149 a month for bumps.
The change from lifetime to monthly plans takes away its old selling point, but the new price is still fair. Even on monthly billing, Standard costs $47, which is less than SamCart Core’s $79 for fewer features.
Where ThriveCart falls short is everything around the checkout. It includes courses and a community through ThriveCart Academy, but it is not an email marketing tool, so most sellers pair it with Kit or MailerLite. If you want one cheap tool for everything, Systeme.io is the better pick. If you want a strong checkout and already have your other tools, pick ThriveCart.
- You sell several digital products
- You want bumps and upsells cheaply
- You offer payment plans or BNPL
- You want email built in
- You only sell one product
- You need a free plan
How we checked these prices
I checked thrivecart.com on 4 November 2026 for plans, features, the trial and the 0% fee. On that visit the prices did not show as readable text, so we first used ThriveCart’s own press release (17 July 2026) and CartMango (16 September 2026). On 6 November the homepage plan section showed $444 and $804 a year, matching those figures, along with the ThriveCart Academy plan included with each license. We do not print the old $495 lifetime figure, because we cannot confirm it is still on offer.
