Linktree raised its prices on 26 October 2026. Starter went from $6 to $7 a month billed yearly. Pro went from $12 to $14. Monthly billing went up too. And three weeks earlier, on 5 October, Linktree removed selling from its free plan.
For a tool most people set up once and forget, these changes are easy to miss. Here is exactly what moved, and what it means if you sell from your link in bio.

Our arithmetic from the prices above.
In dollars, the rise is small. The bigger change for sellers is the free plan, below.
Selling is gone from the free plan
Since 5 October 2026, you can no longer sell from a free Linktree. To sell with 0% Linktree fees you need Pro at $14 a month billed yearly. Processing fees still apply, plus $0.25 per payout.
Your cheapest way to keep selling on Linktree is now $168 a year (Pro, yearly). That is a real cost for a page that used to be free.
Cheaper ways to sell from your bio link
If Linktree’s link page was mainly a storefront, compare these (verified 4 Nov 2026):
| Tool | Cost | Fee on sales |
|---|---|---|
| Linktree Pro | $14/mo yearly | 0% Linktree fee + processing + $0.25 per payout |
| Beacons Free | $0 | 9% seller fee |
| Beacons Creator Plus | $25/mo yearly | 0% seller fee |
| Carrd Pro Standard | $19 a year | Payment forms via Stripe/PayPal |
| Systeme.io Free | $0 | 0% |
Systeme.io’s free plan gives you a sales page, checkout and email with no platform fee. It is more setup than Linktree, but it is free. See Systeme.io pricing.
A coach I advise sells a $27 workbook from her bio link. She was on Linktree’s free plan when selling was removed. Rather than pay $168 a year, she moved the checkout to a free Systeme.io page and kept Linktree free for her links. Ten minutes of setup, no new monthly bill.
Who should stay on Linktree
- You only share links. The free plan still works for a simple link page.
- You sell often from your bio and like the setup. Pro at $14 a month billed yearly is fair if moving would cost you sales.
- Your link is printed everywhere. If your Linktree URL is on cards, packaging or old posts, keeping it avoids broken links.
What to do this week
- Check your plan and renewal date in your Linktree settings.
- If you sold on the free plan, test your product links. Decide between Pro and a free checkout elsewhere.
- If you pay yearly, check your billing page to see when the new price applies to you.
- Add the cost to your yearly budget. Small tools add up across a whole stack.
