Kajabi pricing starts at $143 a month in 2026. That is the Basic plan, paid once a year. Pay month to month and the same plan costs $179. I checked these numbers on Kajabi’s own pricing page on 4 November 2026.
But the sticker price is only half the story. Kajabi limits each plan by contacts, not only by features. That one limit decides what most people end up paying. Below you will find every plan, the true yearly cost, the price history, and the one jump that catches almost everyone.
What each Kajabi plan costs in 2026
Kajabi sells three plans. Here they are as the pricing page showed them to a US visitor, in US dollars:
| Basic | Growth | Pro | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Billed yearly | $143/mo | $199/mo | $399/mo |
| Total per year | $1,716 | $2,388 | $4,788 |
| Billed monthly | $179/mo | $249/mo | $499/mo |
| Contacts | 2,500 | 25,000 | 100,000 |
| Products | 5 | 50 | Unlimited |
| Websites | 1 | 1 | 3 |
| Admin users | 2 | 11 | 26 |
| Communities | 1 | 1 | 3 |
Source: kajabi.com/pricing, US visitor, checked 3 and 4 Nov 2026. Email marketing with unlimited sends is on every plan.

Every plan includes courses, coaching products, a website, email marketing and a community. So the plans do not differ much in what you can build. They differ in how much you can build, and how many people you can email.

Monthly or yearly: how much you save
Paying for a year up front cuts every plan by about 20%. In dollars, that is real money:
- Basic: $179 vs $143 a month. Yearly saves $432.
- Growth: $249 vs $199. Yearly saves $600.
- Pro: $499 vs $399. Yearly saves $1,200.
My advice is simple. Pay monthly for your first two or three months. Make sure Kajabi fits how you work. Then switch to yearly once you are sure. You lose about $100 doing it this way, but you avoid locking $1,716 into a tool you might leave.
The 2,500-contact wall most people hit
Basic covers 2,500 contacts. A contact is anyone in your Kajabi account: buyers, free sign-ups, webinar leads. Go one over and you need Growth.
I see this most months. A course creator I advised this spring (I’ll call her Rina) chose Basic for her first program. She ran one free webinar to promote it. Her list went from 1,900 to 3,100 people in a week.
The webinar worked. Her plan went up the same week. She had planned her budget around $143. She was now looking at $199.
That is a 39% rise for crossing one number. Plan for it before you start building a big list.
Here is a useful way to see it. On Basic, each contact you are allowed costs about 5.7 cents a month. On Growth it is under 1 cent. So Kajabi is expensive for small lists and gets cheaper per person as you grow. The awkward zone is the stretch just past 2,500.
How to stay under the limit
- Clean out old free sign-ups who never opened an email. They still count.
- Run lead magnets on a separate free email tool until you are ready to sell.
- If you expect to pass 2,500 within six months, price your first year on Growth, not Basic.
How Kajabi’s price has changed
Here is every change in our log, newest first:
-
Re-checked. Basic $143, Growth $199, Pro $399 billed yearly. The page’s small print under the yearly prices showed the monthly figures, which looks like a display error. We go with the yearly prices confirmed across three dated sources.
-
Pricing overhaul. The $69 Kickstarter plan closed to new customers. People already on Kickstarter kept their rate for now.
The Kickstarter change matters more than it looks. It used to be the cheap way in. Today, the cheapest way to start on Kajabi is $143 a month. That is why so many people now search for Kajabi vs Skool and other cheaper setups.
Costs Kajabi’s pricing page doesn’t add up for you
- Card processing. About 2.9% + 30¢ per sale goes to the payment processor. This is true on every platform, not just Kajabi.
- Your own Stripe account may cost extra. Kajabi takes no fee when you use Kajabi Payments. One source (Kourses, June 2026) reports a 2% surcharge on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro if you connect your own Stripe account instead. Ask Kajabi before you switch.
- Five products go fast. A course, a coaching package, a community, a mini-course and a template bundle fill Basic. A sixth product means Growth.
- Two admin seats. Add a VA and a co-host and you are out of seats on Basic.
What Kajabi really costs: three real setups
1. A first program with 1,200 contacts
Basic, billed yearly: $143 a month, or $1,716 a year. Email, website, course and checkout are all in one place. Card processing is extra, as everywhere. This is where Kajabi makes the most sense for a beginner who wants one tool.
2. The same creator after a successful webinar
The list passes 2,500, so the plan becomes Growth: $199 a month, or $2,388 a year. Nothing else changed. This is the jump in Rina’s story, and it is the most common surprise on Kajabi.
3. An established creator with 15,000 contacts and 12 products
Still Growth at $199, which allows 25,000 contacts and 50 products. Here Kajabi becomes good value. At this size, each allowed contact costs under a cent a month.
| Plan | Contacts allowed | Cost per allowed contact, per month |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | 2,500 | 5.7¢ |
| Growth | 25,000 | 0.8¢ |
| Pro | 100,000 | 0.4¢ |

What you actually get for $143
To be fair to Kajabi, the price covers a lot of tools you would otherwise pay for separately:
- Course hosting with unlimited students (within your contact limit)
- Email marketing with unlimited sends
- A website and landing pages on your own domain
- A community space
- Checkout, coupons and payment plans
If you would otherwise pay for a course tool, an email tool and a website builder, the gap narrows. Our Kajabi vs Thinkific cost breakdown shows exactly how much.
Is Kajabi worth it at this price?
Here is how I put it to clients. Kajabi charges you for simplicity. Basic replaces a course platform, an email tool and a website builder with one login and one bill. If you value that, $143 a month is a fair price, and you will spend less time fixing links between tools.
The price gets hard to defend in two cases. The first is a fast-growing list, because the 2,500-contact limit pushes you to $199 sooner than you expect. The second is a tight first-year budget, because Thinkific with Kit, or Teachable with Kit, gives you the core for $28 to $41 less each month.
Yes, if you want one login for courses, email and your website, and your list will stay under 2,500 for a while. You pay more, but you manage fewer tools.
No, if your list is about to grow fast, or you plan many small products. You can get the same core for less by pairing a course platform with an email tool.
- Under 2,500 contacts for now
- 1 to 5 products
- You hate juggling tools
- You value support and polish
- Your list is growing fast
- Many small products
- A tight first-year budget
- You mainly need a community
